Impact of Western Disturbance on Bihar Weather

The Western Disturbance is responsible for the changing weather conditions across North India, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. Over the past few days, Delhi-NCR witnessed moderate rainfall, which is now shifting towards Bihar and neighboring states.

Meteorologists suggest that this disturbance will bring cloudy skies, increased humidity, and chances of thunderstorms in Bihar over the next few days. Farmers and local residents have been advised to stay alert as thunderstorms and lightning strikes (Vajrapat) could be dangerous.

How Will the Weather Change in Bihar?

The IMD forecast suggests that Bihar will experience:

    • Scattered rainfall in multiple districts
    • Thunderstorms with lightning strikes
    • Increase in humidity levels
    • Possible disruption in daily activities due to strong winds and heavy showers

Due to these weather changes, people are advised to avoid open spaces during thunderstorms and stay indoors during heavy rainfall.

As per weather experts, people should take necessary precautions, including:

    • Avoid standing under trees or open areas during thunderstorms.
    • Keep electronic devices unplugged to avoid short circuits during lightning.
    • Farmers should take necessary precautions to protect crops from heavy rain.
    • Stay updated with the latest Bihar weather news to plan travel accordingly.

The government has also instructed district administrations to be on alert to handle any weather-related emergencies.

Bihar is set to witness significant weather changes in the next 48 hours, with rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes predicted in multiple districts. The yellow alert issued by IMD indicates the need for caution and preparedness.
